Faith Weaving is faith formation for the whole-family! Together families deepen their faith through shared learning; honoring and strengthening the domestic church.
Faith Weaving families meet once a month on either Friday or Sunday from 6:15-7:45pm.
6:00-6:20 Family Activity: get started when you arrive and take home what you don't finish
6:20-6:30 Opening: all ages gather for an engaging greeting, scripture and prayer
6:30-7:30 Formation Lesson: pre-kindergarten through 8th grade go to learning level stations in the school lead by volunteer catechists to receive the gospel; many high school and college-aged family members continue to attend with their families witnessing their faith as aides or catechists after Confirmation; Adults are guided through faith topics such as Sacraments, Morality, Church Mission and Following Jesus. The diversity of presenters come from our staff, our families, and outside speakers to make the adult sessions rich and varied with something for everyone. Discussion with other parents is an anticipated part of every session.
7:30-7:45 Closing: all gather again as one community to share what they've learned, to hear announcements, to pray together, and to send our families forth with materials to keep the discussion going all month long.
At-home activities are as important as the whole-family sessions for forming our families in faith.Teens in 7th and 8th grade will also attend group sessions with their peers in preparation for Confirmation.
Each session has become a small faith community sharing in the successes and failures of growing faith in our families. We would love to have you join us!
